Women's Health Physiocure®
Eliza Burrell has been part of our Practice for over 10 years and has worked closely with the Hip Physiocure® Team throughout all this time.
After the birth of her son in 2017, Eliza developed a particular interest in the role that Women's Health Physiotherapy has on prevention and treatment of female urinary incontinence as a result of birth, surgery, prolapse, pain or age-related conditions.
She also noted that some of our female hip patients had combined hip and pelvic floor issues that required Specialist Pelvic Floor Physio.
To this end, Eliza completed the Pelvic, Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapy Society (POGP) course on Female Urinary Dysfunction and has become an affiliate member of the POGP. This ensures she stays up to date with research and best practice.
Eliza is very good at supporting ladies in their goal to improve their pelvic floor and urinary continence and enjoys seeing the benefits in quality of life that this often brings.
