Runner's Health Physiocure®
Nicky Francis, who has been a Chartered Physiotherapist since 1994, has been a keen runner all her life and has a special interest in treating runners and helping them to keep running. Now at the age of 50, Nicky shows no signs of slowing down! She runs Marathons, does Cani-Cross, cycles, weight trains, has reached a Dan grade in Karate and is a regular skier. Nicky believes in ‘getting fit to run’ rather than ‘run to get fit’!
Over the many years of being a Physiotherapist, Nicky has attended specialist lower limb courses on muscle imbalance and biomechanics, and specific running injury courses. She has close links with local Surgeons and Sports Doctors in the area.
Nicola is an Official for The Northern Athletics Association and regularly attends events in this capacity. She has previously worked in the Specialist lower limb Physio clinic in Leeds NHS, The Spire Hospital, RAF Leeming and has been with Physiocure for many years seeing a wide range of sports injury patients, post-surgery cases along with recreational and elite runners. Nicky additionally works with runners at her local Athletics club and is the Team Physio for KKO Karate Squad.
