Physiocure News – Autumn 2022
In May 2022, Anna Higo began her PhD with Coventry University under academic supervisors Dr Gemma Pearce and Prof Shea Palmer who are expert researchers in the field of Hypermobility and Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos. Anna is also delighted that Behnam Liaghat PhD researcher in physiotherapy, Hypermobility and sports injuries in Denmark, is part of her academic supervisory team. Anna's research will be looking at supporting the Hypermobile shoulder when exercising in everyday life using special clothing called Dynamic Movement Orthoses®.
Anna and the Physiocure team have been working closely over the last 5 years with these products. Through working closely with a specialist Orthotist their clinical data has led to this research project.

In September 2022, Anna and Tom Higo both attended the Ehlers Danlos International Symposium in Rome over 3 days. This was attended by many International Experts in the field and was a good opportunity to meet different professionals to share knowledge and further the research to help patients.
